THIS ONE IS GOING TO CONTAIN A LOT OF VULGAR GIFS. AFTER READING 1,473 EVANOVICH BOOKS, THERE’S ONLY SO MUCH LEFT IN THE TANK WHEN IT COMES TO REVIEWS. MY APOLOGIES.

If you’ve read/liked Janet E. books in the past, you should have plenty of fun with the Lizzy & Diesel series as well. The light mystery with a side of sexual tension format is the same as in her others . . . this one just adds an additional element to the mix . . .

Yep, Lizzy and Diesel are both “Unmentionables” who are sensitive to things that are otherworldly. It’s Diesel’s mission to find the seven Stones of Power before they end up in the wrong hands, and Lizzy just so happens to have a knack for finding missing items . . . especially magical ones. This time around one of the stones is mixed in with the lost treasure of “Peg Leg” Dazzle . . .

Can Lizzy and Diesel track it down before an evil want-to-be demon . . .

gets his hands on it????

As in all Evanovich books, the humor and supporting cast of characters really help to boost the enjoyment level. This time around you have faithful man servants . . .

aspiring pirates . . .

and, of course, Carl the monkey . . .

There’s even a shout-out to a certain special someone that will give every loyal fan an “a-ha moment” . . .

Now that Phoef Sutton is on board as co-author, maybe these books will start getting churned out like the Stephanie Plum and Fox & O’Hare series. Which means I’ll never have time to read anything else ; )
